John joined Mahoneys in September 2012. He has a broad experience in commercial litigation having practised for several years in a specialist
commercial litigation firm. He is able to provide timely and clear advice necessary for you to make decisions about your position and progress the
matter. He is well versed in the various phases of litigation .
John was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in Queensland in 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University. John also holds a Bachelor
of Arts (Design) Industrial Design from Sydney College of the Arts and was awarded an Australian Design Award in Engineering Design in 2001.

John’s recent experience has included the following matters:
- Successfully acted for a client that is the resident unit manager engaged by the body corporate and is also the letting agent for substantial number
of apartments in the building. The dispute arose between the body corporate and our client about whether our client had been properly performing
its duties. Orders were made in our client’s favour to the effect that the remedial action notices were invalid and or our client had compiled
with them and the body corporate was restrained from relying upon them to terminate the management agreement.
- Successfully acted for a client in a cross border dispute involving proceedings in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the National Court of Justice
