Joining a private practice – legal considerations

3 June 2022

Mahoneys lawyer Rhys Williamson recently joined other industry experts for a Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) webinar focused on how to join a group practice.

Rhys specifically covered the important legal considerations when owning and operating a private practice – including agreements between practice owners (shareholders agreement); agreements between the practice and doctors (service agreements); and buying into a private practice.

A copy of the webinar, titled “Joining a Group Practice” (dated 21 May 2022), can be found on the RACP’s past event presentations page.

A big thank you to The Royal Australasian College of Physicians and The Professional Medical Practice for arranging this important webinar. A special thank you to Tracey Handley and Amity Kruger from the RACP and Camilla Falkowski from the PMP for their personal efforts in making the webinar such a success.

Feel free contact Rhys or Antony Harrison (who heads up Mahoneys medical practice) if you have any questions about owning and operating a private practice.
