Jakem is an Associate in our Commercial team. Before joining Mahoneys he gained valuable experience at both a US-based global law firm and a leading Australian National law firm.

Since being admitted as a solicitor in 2020, Jakem has developed a strong background in mergers and acquisitions, restructures, commercial contracting, capital raisings, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

He has a track record as a trusted advisor to clients ranging from high-net-worth individuals to small businesses to multinational corporations.

He has experience across a broad range of industries, including retail, manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure, renewable energy, mining, agriculture, aquaculture, technology, financial services, healthcare and cyber security.

With degrees in Law and Commerce (majoring in Accounting), Jakem began his career as a taxation consultant before transitioning into law. This foundation enables him to deliver commercially focused outcomes for his clients.
