Lewis’ recent experience includes:

• assisting with building and construction disputes involving defective work, professional services, contractual performance and the cost and scope of rectification works;
• assisting with commercial disputes involving contractual obligations, professional services, misleading or deceptive conduct and the recovery of loss and damage;
• assisting bodies corporate and other property stakeholders with building defect claims involving builders, developers and professional consultants, expert evidence, and complaints to the Queensland Building and Construction Commission;
• engaging with government departments and statutory regulators in relation to investigations, information requests, compliance action, enforcement issues and negotiated outcomes;
• advising clients operating within complex regulatory frameworks on statutory obligations, regulatory exposure, responses to regulators, and the exercise of statutory powers; and
• advising on administrative law issues, including judicial review, delegated decision-making and the lawfulness of regulatory and enforcement action.
