Specifically he discussed the importance of the manager:

• keeping their complexes clean, tidy and well presented; and
• building good relationships with their client and stakeholders (ie owners, tenants and committees).

Further, he observed that managers who went the “extra yard” for their owners often outperformed those managers that didn’t. In simple terms, this means being prepared to doing a bit more than what their agreements required.
