Mahoney’ role in the termination and sale of Voyager was featured in REALESTATESOURCE.COM.AU. Voyager is the first community titles scheme, owned and operated as a timeshare, to be terminated and sold in Queensland by a statutory trustee for sale.
Furthermore, this achievement was notable because Mahoneys was able to chart a path which avoided the need to obtain a “resolution without dissent” of all owners, and secure the appointment of three of the owners as the trustees for sale (rather than a liquidator) thereby reducing costs and maximising potential returns.
Further details on how Mahoneys guided the lot owners through the process of appointing a trustee for sale can be found here.
In the meantime, feel free to contact our dedicated Body Cooperate team if you want to discuss preparing a community title scheme for sale.
