About

Antony is an experienced lawyer who has been practicing corporate-commercial law for over 25 years.

Having studied both commerce and law, Antony is uniquely qualified to help clients deliver their strategic, operational and commercial objectives by helping them to identify, understand and manage the legal risks that arise on day-to-day basis and during corporate transactions.

By taking the time to understand his clients’ business, Antony has established himself as a trusted advisor to a range of clients – including high-net-worth individuals; private, national and international companies; partnerships; joint ventures; consortiums; training organisations; and charities.

Antony’s experience has seen him work closely with business owners, management teams, boards, in-house lawyers and other stakeholders on a wide range of matters for clients operating in a variety of industries.

A partner since 2006, Antony leads Mahoneys commercial law group – an experienced team of lawyers that specialise in:

  • personal and corporate structuring;
  • commercial and corporate law;
  • commercial transactions;
  • commercial property; and
  • succession planning.

Antony holds a bachelor of laws and a bachelor of commerce (accounting). He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand in 1997, and as a solicitor in Queensland in 1998.

Antony is a highly sought after speaker, who regularly presents at local and national events. He provides high quality education-based content and case studies that sync with broader tax, financial and commercial considerations.

Antony was recognised for Commercial Law in the 2026 and 2027 editions of the Best Lawyers® in Australia.

Antony was also recognised in the 2025 and 2026 edition of Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Market for Property & Real Estate Law and Commercial Leasing.
