Last weekend over 480 physicians registered to hear Mahoneys’ Partner Antony Harrison; Paul Copeland and Scott Montefiore (William Buck); and Chris Mariani (Medical & General Risk Solutions) discuss strategies for “boosting a physician’s financial health”.
The focus of the event – organised by the Professional Medical Practice (PMP) and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) – was on providing investment, accounting and legal strategies specifically designed to meet the needs of medical professionals.
Specifically, Antony covered some of the legal issues that need to be addressed – including the importance of protecting personal assets from business risks; the interplay between asset protection and estate planning; the common mistakes physicians make; and strategies for minimising a physician’s legal and financial risk.
